THE ARTIST: KRIS KROHN
Kris Krohn is a New York based artist with a background in architecture and design. Born in Portland, Oregon, he developed an interest in construction at an early age, creating miniature fantasy worlds. Later on he studied arcitucture and fine art.
Krohn moved to New York City at the age of 23, and worked in the galleries of Leo Castelli, Marian Goodman, and Sperone Westwater. He gained experience in traditional oil painting and drawing as a student at the Art Students League for two years. His most recent series of paintings portray the extremes of modern America through surrealistic and contemporary images.
