Giuseppe Bencivenga
Giuseppe Bencivenga is an Italian dancer and teacher trained at MAS in Milan. He has performed with companies including White Dance Theatre in Warsaw, Dart and Gangaray in Budapest, Valencia Dancing Forward, and WDTanztheater in Cologne, appearing in productions such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Turandot, and Requiem. Alongside his stage work, he teaches modern and urban dance in Basel and regularly leads workshops and open classes at festivals including at Tanzfest Basel.
How would you describe your movement style and what can dancers expect from your class at BAC?
"I aim to be precise and give intention to every movement. I’m very curious about movement, and that’s something I want to encourage in my classes as well. Dancers can expect a physical warm-up, technical exercises such as tendus, floor work, and choreography. I like to explore different movement qualities and give dancers the space to be curious about how they move, rather than simply reproducing steps."

Stefanie Pechtl
Stefanie Pechtl is an Austrian dancer, choreographer and dance educator. She trained at the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera and Anton Bruckner Private University Linz, earning a BA in Movement Studies & Performance. Her professional career includes the Vienna State Opera, Győri Ballet, Staatstheater Nürnberg and Ballett Theater Basel, where she has worked with choreographers including Jiří Kylián, Alexander Ekman, Johan Inger, Hofesh Shechter and Sharon Eyal. Alongside her performing and choreographic work, Stefanie studied Dance Science at the University of Bern and is currently furthering her studies in choreography at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

BAC Workshops are held during the Basel-Stadt school holidays, bringing world-class teachers and artists from around the globe to share their knowledge and inspiration with our community.
For BAC Members: FREE
For Non-BAC Members: CHF 40 per class
