KIDS BALLET TEACHER

Is your calling to instill a love of dance in young hearts? At the Braswell Arts Center, we're excited to announce an opportunity that might be perfect for you. We're seeking a Ballet Teacher, specifically tailored to the energetic and enthusiastic nature of children aged 4 and up, with a position beginning ASAP.

The ideal candidate for this role would be a trained dance teacher with experience in working with children. We're looking for someone who not only communicates the language of dance effectively to our young students but also maintains a positive and transparent relationship with their parents.

Do you bring more than just ballet to the dance floor? We welcome teachers with expertise in multiple dance styles, as it adds a vibrant diversity to our classes.

Ballet TEACHER

The Braswell Arts Center is actively searching for an inspirational Ballet Teacher, with an engaging teaching style and a true passion for dance, to join our team starting ASAP. Experience teaching beginners, advanced or other dance styles is a plus. The ability to contribute to our diverse range of classes will be viewed as an asset. Language is the key to communication, and so fluency in English or German is essential for this role.

Modern TEACHER

At the Braswell Arts Center, we believe in the power of movement and the expressive potential of modern dance. In line with our mission to provide diverse and enriching experiences to our students, we're excited to announce an opening for a Modern Dance Teacher, starting ASAP.

Do you have a flair for inspiring students at the beginning of their dance journey, or a mastery of various modern dance techniques? If so, we want to hear from you! Your ability to bring new perspectives and innovative teaching methods to our diverse range of classes will be a significant asset.

To ensure smooth and effective communication with our students and team, fluency in English or German is essential for this role.

INTERNSHIPS

The Braswell Arts Center, an international hub for arts in Basel, has a year-round internship program as part of our ongoing effort to bridge the gap between the arts and the community. We work with schools so that interns can receive academic credit and are also welcome to join dance and fitness classes at the BAC at no charge.

We offer experiences in Marketing, Development, Special Events, Public Relations, Education & Community Programs, Arts administration and Communication. Our internship program is available to students age 17+ and applicants must be available to work a minimum of 25 hours/week.

Arts media INTERNSHIP

Do you feel a thrill when capturing moments through video or photos? Does your pulse quicken when navigating the landscape of social media, promotional content, interviews, or the dance industry? At the Braswell Arts Center, we have a unique opportunity that may be the perfect stage for your talents.

This position demands a sharp eye for detail and the ability to keep several balls in the air in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. We're seeking an individual who's highly organized, and whose written and verbal communication shines in both English and German.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, and InDesign. Knowledge of WordPress and a good understanding of various social media platforms are essential.

ARTS ADMINIS-TRATION INTERNSHIP

We are looking for a highly organized, responsible, and motivated intern to support ongoing administrative work at the BAC. An interest and/or experience in Arts Administration as well as Customer Service is preferred. The candidate must have a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. WORK-STUDY

At the Braswell Arts Center, we're passionate about nurturing talent and fostering growth among aspiring professionals. With our Work Study Program, we offer the unique opportunity to dive into the world of performing arts and simultaneously contribute to the vibrant life of our studio.

In exchange for seven hours of work each week, assisting with administrative tasks and studio maintenance, students receive an Unlimited Membership. This membership provides access to a broad array of classes that can help you refine your skills and deepen your passion for the arts.

Ideal candidates for the Work Study Program are mature, reliable, and trustworthy individuals who are also dancers at heart. Knowledge of computer applications, excellent customer service skills, and an interest in arts administration are key to succeeding in this role.

We require candidates to be able to speak, read, and write both English and German. The program requires a commitment of either six months or one year.
